بلقيس ولدت لأب يمني هو الفنان أحمد فتحي وأم إماراتية. كسبت خبرتها الغنائية من والدها وطرحت أول أعمالها الغنائية معه عام 2004 بأغنية منفردة، ولكنها توقفت بسبب دراستها حيث عادت مجدداً عام 2011 في عدة جلسات واغنيتين بالتعاون مع الشاعر الأمير بدر بن عبد المحسن ولكن أنطلاقتها وامتهان الفن كان في أغنية «ديوان الشعر» التي غنتها مع الفنان أبو بكر سالم و«مسالة سهلة» اللتين كانتا من كلمات الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم وألحان فايز السعيد، وكانت قد حققت نجاحها بأغنية «يا هوى» وواصلت مشوارها الفني بعد ذلك بطرح عدد أعمال جديدة.
