She began in the school theater in which she participated as an actress and singer, until she joined the Higher Institute of Arabic Music in Cairo. Afterwards, she sang and made concerts in the Saqiyat Abdel Moneim El Sawy Theater. The real beginning of Rana Samaha was in the "Star Academy" program in his ninth season where she was attached by the public and formed a broad fan base
