Tumelo Manyoni, born in Alexandra, first rose to prominence as half of the South African Amapiano DJ/producer duo JazziDisciples. Their projects quickly gained traction on dancefloors and streaming platforms. In 2020, he launched his solo career with the release of his debut EP, 0303. This EP has amassed over 3 million streams and features the popular track “Askies” featuring Moonchild Sanelly. Subsequent hits like “Ulazi”, “Zlele”, “VSOP” and “Sithi Sithi” (from the Ama Roto album) followed, all achieving gold (and counting) streaming status. Mr JazziQ is widely regarded as a pioneer in Amapiano production and A&R, both through his own label Black is Brown. He is poised to take the genre to global heights.
