His fearless reporting on military dominance and high-level corruption brought repeated censorship and threats against him and his family. In 2017, he barely survived an assassination attempt. His employment was terminated, and he was effectively blacklisted across Pakistani media. Through it all, he has persisted. After relocating to the US, Noorani founded Fact Focus, an independent investigative journalism platform.
