静岡を拠点に活動するトラックメイカー/DJ 「音楽と日常の共存」をテーマに掲げ、生活していく中で感じた事を音で表現する。 “眠りにつく直前の安らぎ” “本を開くときの凛とした気持ち” そんな風に場面と心情との関連性を重視して音を創り上げる。 「DJ OKAWARI」という名前は、常に満足することなく、常に新しいものを模索し、 常に挑戦し続けるところに由来する。 これまでに、自身のアルバム以外にも国内外の数多くの作品に参加。HIPHOPを軸とした温かく柔らかなトラックは、日本のみならず世界中から支持を得る。 Trackmaker / DJ based in Shizuoka, Japan. Under the theme of "Coexistence of music and life", DJ OKAWARI expresses the things he feels in life through sound. The tranquility that comes right before falling asleep, the dignified feeling when opening a book... He creates sounds that underscore the connection between settings and emotions. The name DJ OKAWARI comes from the Japanese word "okawari", or "seconds", because he is never satisfied with just one helping. He is always seeking something new to challenge. Besides his work on his own albums, DJ OKAWARI has also participated in many works within Japan and outside of it. His warm and gentle hiphop tracks have a worldwide appeal.
