Climate-friendly homes and resilient livelihoods, for people and planet. 🌏 🏆 Build up Nepal is an award-winning social enterprise that is on a mission to transform Nepal’s construction sector and break the cycle of poverty. Nepal is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. Many marginalised families dream of living in a safe, brick house, but cannot afford it. The fired brick industry is a huge polluter. 🏡 Our locally-led model supports micro-enterprises to produce climate-friendly bricks and build disaster-resilient homes that are greener, cheaper, safer and scalable. We have supported more than 200 micro-enterprises, built over 12,000 homes and created 1,900 jobs, while cutting 122,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. By 2030, we want to go further and replicate our model in South Asia.
