zalagasper are a Slovenian electronic music duo, which jointly write, produce & perform since 2017. Their first single ‘Valovi’ immediately made waves in the Slovenian scene and received the Slovenian annual music award for best song of 2017. Before becoming a duo, they both made their way in Slovenia’s music scene individually. Zala Kralj started out by playing covers and soon began writing her own songs that distinguish themselves with their sensitive storytelling and her smooth, melodic vocals. Gašper Šantl originally played guitar, but in his teens his musical interests led him to Prague. This is where he studied to become a producer under the big wing of Faust Records. Two years later, he was ready for new stories and inspirations and he decided to take a cycling trip that would take him all around Europe. Fired up by the impressions, he finished his songs as he returned to Prague. However, he still had not found the right vocalist. This is when social media came to the rescue
