In the 2000s, she has gained a high reputation as one of Japan's leading actresses through her appearances in movies such as "Kisarazu Cat's Eye" and "Always: Sunset on Third Street," dramas such as "Ama-chan", "Yell", and "Saiai", and many other movies and dramas. In recent years, she has also been active in music, giving concerts and appearing on singing programs. In 2021, she celebrated the 40th anniversary of her singing career.
