CNu Genea
Nu Genea is the artistic project of Neapolitan musicians and DJs Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina. Their music is the result of meticulous research that explores and reinterprets Mediterranean sounds, drawing inspiration from the shores of Naples, their hometown and an inexhaustible source of cultural influence. Following the success of the album Nuova Napoli (2018), which celebrated the Neapolitan musical tradition with a modern twist, in 2022 they released Bar Mediterraneo, a work that further expands their sonic horizon, incorporating multicultural influences and international collaborations. Tracks such as ‘Tienaté’ and ‘Marechià’ have become emblematic of their unique style, which blends disco, funk, boogie, electronica, dub and folk into an addictive and timeless groove. Their upcoming album, "People of the Moon", will be released on May 1. Through their label NG Records, Nu Genea also curated the Napoli Segreta compilation series.
