Alessandro Cortini is an Italian musician, producer, composer, and instrument builder. An electronic music pioneer, renowned for his haunting and atmospheric soundscapes he is also a long-time member of Nine Inch Nails. He has crafted a prolific solo career, releasing influential albums on labels like Mute and Hospital Records. Cortini's work spans music, instrument building ("Strega" with boutique synth builders Make Noise), and immersive installations like "Nati Infiniti" for Sonar 2022 at Museu de Lisboa’s Fábrica de Moagem. His music has soundtracked fashion shows, films, and television (including the critically acclaimed The Bear on Disney/Hulu). He's collaborated with the likes of Lawrence English, Daniel Avery and Merzbow, and remixed for artists like Depeche Mode to Death Cab For Cutie, Yann Tiersen to Mogwai. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Cortini continues to push the boundaries of electronic music.
