The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans. This forum encourages the exchange of differing opinions and ideals. However, any comments that include vulgarity or profanity, racist or offensive terms, name calling, personal attacks or derisive attacks on groups or political parties will be removed. Off-topic or off-color remarks will be removed, as will any posts that infringe on the intellectual property of others. Repeat violators of these rules will be banned from posting to our channel.
