I’m Chris Skaife, a serving Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) at the Tower of London and former Ravenmaster. Author & Storyteller. I live within one of Britain’s most historic fortresses, a place that has witnessed royal triumph, imprisonment, execution and ceremony for nearly a thousand years. But Britain’s past stretches far beyond a single fortress. On this channel, I will explore the echoes of our past, particularly the darker and more dramatic chapters of British history, a fascinating and sometimes disturbing part of our islands story. From the final hours of Anne Boleyn to the interrogation of Guy Fawkes, these stories are not distant legends. They are part of the fabric that took place right here where I live and work.
