CMahammad Mirzali
Mahammad Mirzali is an Azerbaijani blogger and social media opposition activist who is known for his YouTube channel, Made In Azerbaijan, which has 350,000 subscribers. He has been a vocal critic of Azerbaijan's ruling Aliyev family, particularly the president and his wife, and has highlighted alleged corruption in the oil-rich Caucasus country. Mirzali has survived five assassination attempts. He has been in self-exile in France, where he is highly protected by French police. In June 2022, two men were arrested in France on suspicion of being sent to kill Mirzali. Mirzali has also given an interview to the Armenian news outlet CivilNet in which he issued a rare call for peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
