Maha Bodhi Society, Bengaluru, is a Buddhist Charitable Organization established in 1956 by Most Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera, with a heartfelt mission to revive and share the compassionate teachings of the Buddha in their land of origin, India. Inspired by the Buddha's timeless message, we strive to nurture moral upliftment, mental purity, and deeper wisdom through selfless spiritual, educational, medical, and humanitarian service for peace, harmony, happiness, and the welfare of all. Since its inception, the Society has conducted Sunday Dhamma programmes in English and Kannada, with special discourses, meditation, Buddha Puja, festivals, Buddhist ceremonies, and cultural programmes year-round. Through this channel, we bring the Society's living tradition, activities, & inspiring message to the world. Whether new to the Dhamma path or a longtime practitioner, we warmly welcome you to join us, learn, reflect, practise, and journey towards wisdom, peace, and compassion.
