The series bases its storyline on the tale of the brothers Buzalevski, who’ve opened up a boarding house in the Prespa region – all thanks to financial means from European IPA funds. The boarding house is a metaphorical showcase of realistic political and social happenings in the Republic of North Macedonia – a place where the infamous Balkan mentality breaks down and entraps the characters and their strive for life of mutual respect and aspiration to establish the European standards they’ve got the money for in the first place. These circumstances place the characters in constant and continuous conflict, which for the viewers means emergence of endless comical situations ripe for recognition and self-reflection.
