Imogen Jennifer Heap is an English singer, songwriter, record producer and audio engineer. She is known for her involvement in electronic music. She began writing songs at the age of 13 and, while attending boarding school, taught herself both guitar and drums, as well as music production on Atari computers. She released her debut album “iMegaphone” in 1998. Heap released two singles in late 2004 ("Just for Now" and "Goodnight and Go"). Heap's second studio album, “Speak for Yourself” was released in 2005. A single from the album, "Hide and Seek", her most commercially successful song to date, was certified gold by the RIAA and was heavily sampled in Jason Derulo's debut single, “Whatcha Say”. Heap released her third studio album, “Ellipse” in 2009. This was followed by her fourth studio album, “Sparks” (2014). Heap has received two Grammy Awards and one Ivor Novello Award.
