UCZambezi Magic
Created by DSTV in July 2016, Zambezi Magic’s primary objective was to provide entertainment for 6 Southern African countries namely, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Keeping in line with the channel’s tag-line of “Telling Our Stories”, the channel affords local and independent producers from these regions a platform to showcase their dexterity at creating home grown content that appeal to the local audiences as well as cuts across the broadcast region. Zambezi Magic, which can be found on DSTV channel 160 carries a variety of show formats; from reality shows to drama and comedic series; also boasting a lifestyle magazine show as well as a few musical shows which feature prominently, the viewers are never left wanting as all their viewing needs are adequately catered for. We recently saw the birth of Zambia’s first telenovela show ‘Zuba’ which was by far one of the most watched series on the channel.
