CRISD / Rhode Island School of Design
Rhode Island School of Design is a nonprofit college and museum founded in 1877 in Providence, RI by a small group of women decades before any woman in America had the right to vote. This visionary spirit continues to guide our trajectory: today, 2,600+ students from 60 countries cultivate daring, expansive thinking across over 40 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. They join a worldwide network of more than 33,000 alumni to become creative leaders who generate and amplify the ideas that shape our world. As of 2025, eleven (11) RISD alumni have received MacArthur “genius grant” fellowships, 51 alumni have been Forbes “30 Under 30” honorees, and 122 have received RISD Fulbright awards.
