CTHE BHARAT SCOUTS AND GUIDES
The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the internationally affiliated Scout and Guide organisation in India, formed through the merger of the Scout and Guide organisations that existed in the country at the time of Independence in 1947. The Bharat Scouts and Guides came into existence on 7th November 1950. The Association is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), with their respective headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and London, United Kingdom. Vision 2024 By 2024, The Bharat Scouts and Guides will be a globally visible, consistently growing, self-reliant and premium youth movement that is gender-balanced, vibrant and responsive to emerging trends. The organisation will provide young people with value-based, attractive and challenging youth programmes, supported by competent leaders, effective communication, optimum use of technology and efficient management.
