The official Persepolis F.C. YouTube channel. The team known today as Persepolis has its roots in about 80 years ago. In the early years of the 1920s, a club called Shahin was established by the late Abbas Ekrami. The man who is rightly known as the father of modern Iranian club management. The late Ekrami, who received his bachelor's degree in philosophy, physics, chemistry and educational sciences from the University in 1315. At the same time, due to his attachment to sports, he played football for a team called "Jam". The Persepolis Cup started in 1973, and in the five seasons that lasted, Persepolis was able to become a two-time champion and a three-time runner-up to be named one of the most proud teams in the history of football. After 1957 and the formation of the glorious Islamic Revolution, football in our country was affected like other social phenomena in our country, so that even the national football league was dissolved and the names of many teams were changed.
