Travis Stewart has been releasing music as Machinedrum since his 2001 debut Now You Know at age 19. Over 25 years he has built one of electronic music's most varied and respected catalogs, moving fluidly between hip-hop, footwork, jungle, UK bass, and experimental club music. His catalog includes Room(s) (Planet Mu, 2011), Vapor City (Ninja Tune, 2013), Human Energy (Ninja Tune, 2016), A View of U (Ninja Tune, 2020), and 3FOR82 (Ninja Tune, 2023). His work with Sepalcure (alongside Praveen Sharma/Braille) and J-E-T-S (alongside Jimmy Edgar) established him as one of the most prolific collaborative voices in electronic music. He has produced for and with Tinashe, A$AP Ferg, Freddie Gibbs, Cobrah, and Hudson Mohawke among others, and scored film (Totenwald, Ashima) and video games (Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K22). BL00MS Mini-LP marks his first release on IAMSIAM following a 13-year partnership with Ninja Tune, returning to the independent model where he began.
