For over a decade, BET Award®-winning artist Stonebwoy has been a dominant force in African music, widely credited as the creator of the globally recognized Afro-Dancehall genre. He rose to prominence in 2012 with Climax and has since released some groundbreaking albums, most notable Epistles of Mama, which reached № 13 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, 5th Dimension (№ 8 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart), and UP & RUNNIN6. His sound is rooted in Afro-Dancehall while incorporating mainstream and global influences. Stonebwoy is one of Africa’s most decorated musicians, with over 105 career awards, including three Ghana Music Awards® Artiste of the Year, four AFRIMA®, and three IRAWMA®. In 2024, he won twenty-five awards, making him the most awarded African artist that year. By 2025, he was recognized as the most awarded Ghanaian artist of the decade, with seventy major honors. He is the first Ghanaian artist to surpass one hundred million streams on Audiomack®.
